On April 20, 2013 the Leonard Gelfand STEM Center partnered with NASA and the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio to host Girls Take Flight, a hands-on, interactive day of aerospace science activities. The event attracted just under 150 elementary school aged Girl Scouts. It was held in Adelbert Gym and was followed by a presentation from Astronaut, and former Girl Scout, Sunita Williams in Strosacker Auditorium. Ms. Williams shared her experiences as a female astronaut while the audience watched a video clip of her most recent trip to the International Space Station. The STEM Center staff would like to thank all of the Case community who participated in and supported the event. Your help was greatly appreciated.
