Future Connections

The Future Connections Program at University Circle Inc. offers a paid, eight-week internship to selected rising senior high school students in the Greater Cleveland area while earning a $1000 stipend. The program introduces youth to the wealth of work experiences in University Circle including museums, the arts, and professional environments.

Future Connections Students:

  • Build life and personal development skills at world class University Circle institutions and Greater Cleveland businesses

  • Engage in hands-on learning for 25 to 40 hours per week for eight weeks

  • Work alongside professionals in the fields of arts and culture, business, education, medicine, science, and engineering

The Leonard Gelfand STEM Center at Case Western Reserve University hosts 10-15 Future Connections students during the first four-week cultural component of the program. Our students are immersed in the work of the university, namely research and education. Students complete an intensive research project under the mentorship of CWRU graduate students active in science and engineering research.
