Case Western Reserve University is home to think[box], a new invention center on campus that provides a space for students, faculty, alumni, and guests to tinker and creatively invent. Housed temporarily in a 3,000 square foot space, this $25M project will be moving into a 7-story, 50,000 square foot facility, making it one of the largest university invention centers in the world.

The Leonard Gelfand STEM Center collaborates with think[box] staff on their summer internship program, an opportunity for select high school students to gain intensive experience working with the latest fabrication technology including laser cutters, 3D printers, ShopBot, and more. Working as teaching assistants, interns are thoroughly trained on each piece of equipment and then assist lab users completing a wide range of projects. High school students who like to build stuff and are interested in robotics, science fairs, art and product design, computers, and engineering are encouraged to apply.
