Population Connection-Population Education
Since 2010, the Gelfand STEM Center has been an authorized site for education programs for Population Connections. Formerly known as Zero Population Growth, Population Connection provides hands-on learning experiences for pre-service and in-service teachers and formal and informal classrooms through a national standards based curriculum. Since 1975, the program has developed age-appropriate curricula to complement students’ science and social science instruction about human population trends and their impacts on natural resources, environmental quality and human well-being. http://www.populationeducation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=2
Population Connection works to ensure women’s rights around the globe, advocate for the environment, and ensure social justice through advocacy and education.
